Royal Caribbean ALLURE OF THE SEAS - Cruise Vacation 2017 - Day 1

Back in August, we have celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I feel Extremely Blessed to share MOST of my Life with such a Good, Decent and Caring Man! I couldn’t ask God for a better friend for life!

From the day we met, when I was just 16 until today, we have not been one day apart. First Girlfriend – First Boyfriend is still possible in this day and age!

Alex says that 30 years makes us sound old. Yes, it’s true. But, I do enjoy growing older as crazy as it sounds to some. I APPRECIATE and UNDERSTAND so much more now than when I was younger. I feel much more ALIVE and AWARE now! As long as you have someone to share this Journey, establish a relationship with your Creator, in relatively Good Health and have Passions, which I think is so important – it’s a Fuel for Life, these things are the Most important in life! I think Alex and I, are still Young looking. I still see Alex as a young Man that I have met 30+ years ago and he sees me and calls me “His Girl!” which I Love!

We have decided to go on the cruise for our special occasion and booked a cruise in November on the 2nd largest ship in the world, next to it”s sister ship the Oasis of the Seas and larger, Harmony of the seas that will be sailing in the future, for sure! Actually, the largest is just one-inch longer, lol

I would consider us somewhat first time cruisers, even though we did cruise 2 times on a smaller and older Carnival ship. This one EXCEEDED all of our expectations. On the smaller, older Carnival there wasn’t much to do. Here, 7 days just zoomed by. You can relax or be busy, it’s all up to you. But, there is a ton to do and to see on the ship!

We have cruised before in April/May and loved it. It’s still not as expensive as summer months and way before the hurricane season. Since our wedding anniversary was in August, we decided it would be best to go after the hurricane season and November was Perfect! Weather on the island, still hot but manageable and good deals.

Allure of the Seas family vacation

November 12th, Day 1 of our adventure – we are boarding the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. We’ve stayed in room 593 on Deck 11 overlooking the lovely Central Park area! Such a peaceful part of the ship! We loved it! This ship is HUGE! When we first got aboard, we felt like we were in a shopping mall. There are restaurants, theaters, shops, a carousel, zipline, flowriders, rock wall, and an ice skating rink! It was overwhelming for the first day! This is a 7 Night Eastern Caribbean Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tomorrow we’ll be in Nassau, Bahamas!
