This Australian Lamb Steak and Home Fries recipe is my go-to “last minute” dinner idea that doesn’t involve too much thinking and too many ingredients.

While shopping at Publix I’ve picked up some Delicious Australian Greenwise Lamb Shoulder Blade Chops (Antibiotic Free) and our favorite – Honey Gold Potatoes.

If you never tried these potatoes – you will love them!
They have this buttery, sweet taste with velvety golden flesh and delicate skin. You can roast or fry them.
The reason I like small and young potatoes they don’t seem to stick to each other as a baking potatoes do, I use less oil with these as well.

Another advantage with these small Honey Gold potatoes is you DO NOT need to peel them that saves on time, easier to slice evenly and look beautiful when done.
How to make Australian Lamb Steak and Home Fries
It takes about 20 minutes to fry these with a bit of oil added. If you want them not to stick and look the way mine do, you can not leave them “on their own” for too long.
Every couple of minutes flip and toss them around on Medium-heated non-stick skillet.
In the end, cover the skillet with the lid and let them steam on the inside for a minute or two.

Since we like our Steaks on the Medium-Well side, I Broil on High uncovered 15 minutes on one side.
Flip and 10 minutes on the other side.
If you want to add sliced mushrooms, you can add them at the last 10 minutes of Broiling alongside your steaks.

Since we love the taste of Lamb, I try not to over-season them. I use few ingredients including McCormick Unseasoned Meat Tenderizer.
Meat Tenderizer is a natural product that uses Pineapple fruit extract, natural sugars and sea salt gently tenderizes meat while infusing it with premium flavor.

Garnish with sliced green onions and tomatoes, if you like. Serve and Enjoy!
