This Chicken Parmesan recipe has been my family’s favorite recipe for years! I would always make it when we had company over, and always – a Huge Success! Very easy to make, just a few ingredients and a couple of steps and then… you can Enjoy this Amazing Italian dish!
This recipe, like many others, are partially prepared on the stovetop and then finished in the oven in order to get the most flavor.
How to make Chicken Parmesan
Slice large onion and sauté in Olive oil for few minutes.
Add sliced mushrooms, sprinkle with salt/pepper and sauté until soft.
Cook chicken breasts on medium heat for 5 minutes on each side, until almost done.
Place cooked chicken breasts on top of your onions/mushrooms mix.
Add a couple of tablespoons of pasta sauce to cover each piece. Add additional onions/mushrooms mix on top and sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese.
I really like Parmesan Romano Pasta sauce that I bought at Target recently. It has lots of flavors and thick consistency.
This dish’s success relies on a good pasta sauce. Every Pasta sauce will produce slightly different results.
So far, I tried many sauces and Enjoyed them all. But still, get a good one!
Mama Francesca Parmesan cheese is the best I have tried!
Bake in the preheated 350F oven for 25- 30 minutes.
Take it out, add Mozzarella cheese (or any cheese you have on hand) and Broil for about 3 minutes, watch so it doesn’t burn.

Last night made this again with an addition of Eggplant.
Just slice an eggplant, saute in Olive oil until soft. Season with salt/pepper and add on top of your chicken.
Oh my! SO GOOD!!!
Packed to for Hubby’s lunch and he Loved it! (will take a better picture next time, just wanted to share since it’s So Delicious).
